The Christian Life: Fear Not the World

1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

We children of God have nothing to fear

Born again, Christian men have nothing to fear in this world, except that is, a healthy fear of the Lord.

Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

As us being saved by Grace and through our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is in us, as we are deemed righteous in God’s eyes. The blood of Christ atoning for our sins and washing us clean, and as we continue to grow in faith, the sin in our lives will be revealed to us and the conviction of the Holy Spirit will lead us away from temptation and free us from the chains of our sinful hearts and desires.

We are commanded by Jesus to love all our fellow men and women as we love God and love ourselves,

Matthew 22: 37-40 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

And with the power of God within us, we are given authority in this world, as nothing can happen unless God permits it to happen.

Matthew 10: 28-32 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”

With Grace, comes the peace of mind that we will be spend eternity in life with God, and with this peace of mind, death is no longer something to fear. We all have an appointed time, and I would rather face it serving God, than prolonging this temporary life holding the truth inside me like a coward, allowing sin to run rampant in society.

True love comes with calling out reality and the harsh truths involved. In modern days especially, in regards to the gay pride community and the rest of the LGBT community spreading their perversions, we get called hateful for rightfully calling sodomy a sin. That is not hateful. There are hateful Christians however that call for the death of gays, that is where it crosses the line. Our love comes with spreading the Gospel to these people so that they can hear the truth and come to know God, and they can repent and be able to spend an eternity with God. However the Church today is scared. The weak, apostate church is not only being quiet on this matter, but some churches are even marrying gay and lesbian couples, and outright supporting this sin. It is outrageous what the Western Churches have become!

John 8:11 “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

What ever happened to the Pastors of old that would stand face to face with evil and call it out? Having courage and lacking fear, believing that God is working through him, planting seeds in the hearts of some of these sinners. You see if you preach in the world and even just ONE person can come to the truth, that is a victory!

Luke 15:10 “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

The Church needs to gain the faith the apostles had and go boldly into the world, even against the Courts, politicians, Freemasonic lodges, abortion clinics, give these centers of sin no reprise! Working in faith, which is only a result of being saved, saved people bearing good fruit shown through their works, is what determines the level of reward we get in Heaven. You can live a life not doing much and still be saved, but there won’t be much reward for you, and I for one do not want that. The more I grow in faith and learn true history, the more I want to separate myself from materialism, and my own fleshly desires and just serve God with all my heart.

Something I cannot tolerate is apathy in regards to the evils going on in the world. It’s so prevalent in today’s age, yet everyone is too focused on distractions, or just waiting for the rapture. Meanwhile evil continues to spread and our world grows darker by the day. Of course it’s all prophesied to happen and we know God wins in the end thankfully. But that doesn’t change the fact the Church needs to stand up for what’s right in God’s eyes, it doesn’t matter how the world perceives us, the world will hate us, they will want to silence us, imprison us, and kill us.

John 15:18 “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.”

In the end, all that really matters is serving God, and the eternity that follows. So if it’s between the world and God. I choose God. The straight and narrow road is a difficult and lonely road. But the Spirit of God strengthens the believer, and provides nourishment and rest when needed. Have faith, and do not fear the world when serving God!
