What does it mean to live by faith?

It seems today that the majority of the Church is devoid of faith and at least on the outside doesn’t appear any more spiritually alive than the atheists and agnostics they associate with on their free time. I speak primarily from my perspective in the United States, but I know it’s everywhere nowadays, especially with American culture and Hollywood digging it’s disgusting, cancerous roots throughout all nations of this Earth. I would say conservatively speaking, 90% of the Church doesn’t even give God a thought throughout their day, they live a normal worldly life all week, then go to Church on Sunday morning, then rush out of there as to not miss their Football games.

It’s really a sad state of affairs to see, grown adults so obsessed with a sport that they have no part in, one of the major idols affecting the American Church for the most part today, well behind money. We sure know all these pastors love money as much as these apostate’s Mother Church in Rome does. I’m rambling on here, this is a topic for another day, today I want to tackle the topic of having real faith and living your life by it.

2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

The spiritual realm exists all around us, the workings of both Angels and Demons occur everywhere, fighting a spiritual war over us. Satan and his fallen angels work through deceptions and planting thoughts in our minds, it is up to the repentant, born-again believer to be able to detect these deceiving spirits and their temptations and NOT entertain them. It’s something that as you spend time in the Word of God and time in prayer, I highly recommend taking time in solitude, away from both people and any distractions to be able to connect better. As you spend time in God’s Word, and begin more observing the world around you, you will begin to see how the spiritual forces actually work, because it’s really not obvious. In fact when you do see it, most people play it off as, “Oh it’s just a coincidence!” I’m just going to lay it out and say there is no such thing as a coincidence. New Agers love to say it’s the Universe answering your pleas, but in reality it’s God’s Will being done, whether it is God answering your prayer, or God chastising an individual, community or nation, or God allowing Satan and his demons to test an individual.

Galatians 5:25 “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”

So really what it means to live by faith is to KNOW and TRUST God’s word inherently. You understand fully that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, that he is God manifest in the flesh, and he died for the sins of the world for all that BELIEVE in his finished work on the cross will be saved! And with this understanding and knowing that the Holy Spirit indwells in you as a SAVED individual, then you can serve God in this life. If you are not saved, works amount to NOTHING. However when you are born again in the spirit, then works prove your salvation and will give you greater reward in Heaven.

Matthew 16:27 – “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”

Hebrews_11-6

With knowing that you have a placed reserved for you in Heaven, and the Holy Spirit is indwelled in you, you can face the world with courage and having no fear to speak the truth to power. This worldly system in place is Satan’s Kingdom, he is the god of this world by man’s own choosing. But we are told not to fear that which can only kill the flesh but not harm the soul.

Matthew 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

The worst that can happen going through this life living by faith in God is that you could be killed. But for the saved man that is nothing to fear, you will be rewarded for submitting to the Holy Spirit and doing God’s Will. This life in our flesh prison is temporary and it is a spiritual battleground, that is why we are here. It is not of the Godly spirit to submit or compromise with evil to enjoy a good life now, you hear that Joel Osteen?

Throughout history, whether it’s in the Old Testament with David slaying the giant Goliath, or much later on with the victories of the Protestant Reformation in nations like England and what would become Germany over the Catholic institution and the evil and vile Jesuit Order that sought to slay and put to death every last man, woman and child that read the Bible for themselves. God loves to operate and show his power when his believers are thought to be doomed. Pastor Eric Jon Phelps says it best with God showing his handiwork when his people are out manned, outgunned, yet faith propels them to victory as God is all powerful. There’s no limit as to what God can accomplish. He could cause the enemies weapons to malfunction like when the assassin that sought to kill President Andrew Jackson had BOTH of his weapons malfunction at point blank range, or when God sent a mighty storm against the Spanish Armada seeking to invade England and take out Queen Elizabeth I.

The saved man and woman has nothing to fear from this life, so go out there and preach the truth! I’ll leave this off with this inspirational verse;

Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Amen.
